A polydactyl kitten named Popcorn A.K.A. Lil Bitty Kitty
My home seemed too quiet without the foster kittens playing chase and pestering my older cats.
So I contacted my aunt who I had heard needed help finding a home for a wild kitten.

These are the memories of a lovely young tabby who was rescued from living in a field when she was only about a month old. My aunt was concerned that the coyotes would eat the poor little kitten since they were living way out in the country where that sort of thing isn't uncommon. This little kitten was especially beloved because she was the descendant from a line of cats that she had raised for some time. I believe the cat's name was Sunny. The mother and Bitty's sibling, a calico kitten, went to live with my aunt who took them into her home to care for them.
When she first came to live with us she hid whenever we walked about the room, even if we walked cautiously. Bitty would hiss if you reached out to her while she was in hiding and a couple times she crawled into VERY tiny spaces and refused to come out until meal time. She had no idea how to be a house cat at first, everything was strange to her. So we gave her plenty of space for a while. Popcorn had an obvious preference for other cats as company, whenever she saw one of our cats walking past she would come out of hiding with her tail perked up and try to approach them. She quickly became friends with Kyoko and she even seemed to enjoy Nice Guy's company, even though he wasn't incredibly joyous about her presence. They all got along very well and could even eat together without a fuss. |

After 3 days of patiently coaxing her out of hiding she began to get used to being gently petted. She enjoyed playing with feather toys and she realized that people were pretty nice because they didn't just want to hold her, they wanted to have fun with her and even gave her tasty food!
Once she was used to being indoors with people I had to put her up for adoption, I sent her off with a nice young lady who had one other cat. Bitty is the perfect kitten to keep other cats company, hopefully thats exactly what happened and they are best pals.
